Spend 3 days and 2 nights exploring San Francisco Bay Area’s hidden gem! Spend your nights camping in a coastal forest, and your days hiking popular trails in Mount Tamalpais State Park and Muir Woods National Monument. Take a peaceful walk through beautiful old-growth Redwood forests surrounded by local flora and fauna. This expedition covers roughly 10 miles and almost 2,000 feet of elevation gain.
Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at Alice Eastwood campground to set up camp and meet the group members.
Day 2: After enjoying a camp breakfast you’ll hike roughly 3 miles around Muir Woods National Monument. Here you’ll be able to check out the Visitor’s Center and travel through the historical Redwood Groves all while walking next to a peaceful creek with many informational signs along the way before returning to camp for lunch. After lunch, a 6 mile hike will take you along the famous Dipsea Trail where the Dipsea Marathon is run every year before returning to camp for the evening.
Day 3: Pack up camp then drive to Muir Beach (7.6 miles away) or Stinson Beach (8.4 miles away) for a walk along the California coastal sands and picnic lunch before saying your goodbyes.

All necessary campground reservations and permits will be provided. Attendees responsible for park entrance fees, and for their own transportation to the campground, trailhead, or designated overnight parking lot. All meals will be included based on a basic menu, for special dietary needs please leave instructions during the booking process.
This trip is good for beginners with minimal camping and hiking experience. Gear rentals are available upon special requests with additional fees applying.
